"Story of a Girl"

Anyone remember this song? Popular in the late late 90's or early 2000's? I don't remember all of it, but I remember this line:
"How many days in the year, she woke up with hope but she only found tears?"
Feels like my theme song some days, days like today. Days when I know that all my prayers and hopes and trying went unanswered again this month.
*SIGH*

  1. Andrea, I heard something the other day and wanted to share it with you. Most of the stories about birth in the scriptures revolve around women's inability to have children. That the trial of infertility is one that God has given to some of his strongest and most select daughters. Women like Sarah, Rebekah, Rachel, the mother of Samson, Hannah, and Elisabeth all struggled with extended periods of "bareness", the ancient term for infertility. I am not by any means labeling you as "infertile" but when I heard about their inability (for a short time!) to have kids, I thought of you and your desire and want you have to have another baby.

I know it's SO cliche to say "God will never give you more than you can handle", but when I heard about these strong women in the Bible that endured the pain that you're also feeling, I had to share with you. He will NEVER give you more than you can handle. I believe He will carry you through this and someday you will be blessed with another little one to hold and love.

    In my prayers, always.

  2. I can relate, but Megan is right. And I can tell you from experience that you have to remind yourself DAILY. You are loved. You are beautiful. You are stronger than you know. You are not alone.
